Hello and welcome to my new webpage! You can also find updates about anything I may be working on via Twitter (@KristinDurfee).

I am starting a new chapter (it is also a good time to let you know that I am a lover of puns) in my writing career. The editing process of my first published book is soon underway, though the journey to that point has been a long time coming. I have been a writer my whole life, but I will finally have the opportunity to share some of my work with the general public and I could not be more excited (and also a little terrified). Writing is a very personal and often private endeavor. Creating characters in your head is one thing, but putting all that information down can be a daunting task, and that's only the beginning of it! It took me about four months to write my novel, and almost two years to get it to where it is today.
The thought of someone else reading my work is a wonderful feeling, but it is hard not to be a little apprehensive of it. I love my characters and my story and I hope that others love it as much as I do. They are all a little part of me, I feel deeply invested in their backgrounds, their individual selves, it's hard sometimes to remember that they are not real, just figments of my imagination! Though I truly believe in the story I have created for them, and I look forward to each and every one of you being able to share in their adventure.

Stay posted, exciting things are happening!

Love your new website -- eager to watch it evolve! Love your alliteration and punniness. Can't wait to "see" you on the shelves in my favorite book outlets. Congratulations!

I love it when somebody takes time to read my work. Even if some of them end up criticizing it in unimaginable and way too personal ways, I don't mind. I am happy they finished reading. It means it did not give them a headache. Maybe they just don't agree with some things I said. Again, all is well and I am very glad. I will always prefer a critic rather than totally be ignored.

Just finished and LOVED your Four Corners draft. Here's to the final edits being minimal, as it seems perfect as is. Interesting to see your process and how open your are as a writer, reader, rider and runner. I'll have to think about that one for myself. As of now, it is simply retired. Love you, Sharon

That is good that your first book is in editing process and so, we can expect a release of that book. I am very much interested in reading books that to with is the first book of that writer. This will give us new experience and let us know how he thinks while writing his book. Creating characters is not easy task this is main base to story line of that book.

Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
